The year that was 2015 & moving forward

2015 was a horrid year for me personally and as such, HelzKat Designs suffered.

I have slowed down in some aspects in my life and am refocusing on others including design and illustration.

I am looking at how best to use HelzKat Designs at helping authors getting covers they are happy with. I have been thinking of offering Pre made covers for an affordable price, so I would like to do some research before I pursue this.

It may also be time for a rebrand replacing the image (which I still love) with my own creation but I want to think on that further.

Another thing I have been thinking about is closing down the blog and having a News column on the home page instead. I don't get a lot of traffic here and while I do enjoy blogging, I tend to do the majority of it as my writing self.  Or maybe I just move the blog off the main page as not everyone is interested in the blog when they come to the website.

In the meantime, I have been participating in a 52 week illustration challenge. As a designer, I have mainly used stock images, but I want to work on my own art work and build up my skill set. While it is for my own personal development, I think it would help out my clients  ... any learning does help any skill set I think.

I have added these images to an album on my Facebook Page.
